A little clarity about privacy

How saved stories, reading settings, and ordinary website requests work.

Updated October 26, 2026

No account needed

You can browse and read stories without registering. This version has no advertising or analytics uploads, and we do not set tracking cookies. Search-to-story opens and reaching the end of a story can produce anonymous events within the current page. These events are not saved or sent to an analytics service.

Illustrations, fonts, and animation files are served with the website. Reading a story does not require connecting to a separate font or animation service.

Your little bookshelf stays here

When you save a story, its identifier is kept in this browser's local storage. Your text size and day/night preference are stored there too. These settings are not sent to a story database or synced to another device.

You can remove individual favorites or clear the saved list on the Saved Stories page. Browser settings can clear all stored data for this website, including reading preferences. Otherwise, these choices stay until you change or clear them.

Requests that make the website work

When you visit the published website, its hosting provider receives ordinary requests needed to deliver pages and files. Those requests can include an IP address and browser information.

The site is prepared for hosting on Cloudflare. Cloudflare's handling of hosting data is described in its privacy policy.

If you send us a note

If you email support, we receive the address and contents you choose to send. A story title or page link is usually enough to help us understand a question. Please omit children’s personal details.
